Little Mermaid – a symbol of Copenhagen, Denmark

The first glimpse when you encounter Langelinie is the astonishing Little Mermaid statue. Standing at only 1.25 meters high and weighing around 175 kg, this marvel has been one of the symbols of Copenhagen since its unveiling on August 23, 1913. It was a present from the brewer Carl Jacobsen of the Carlsberg Breweries. It was made by a sculptor by the name of Edvard Erichsen. Courtesy of Hotel Alexandra Carina is a receptionist at Hotel Alexandra, she is studying to become a teacher. She visited AOC  (Aarø & Co) with her father… The visit to the Michelin restaurant AOC was an experience quite beyond the ordinary. By a large, well-endowed wine display, we were greeted by a gracious servant who took our coats and led us then to dinner. The restaurant buzzes “feinscmeckerei” and perfection.
