The Grand Palais in Paris is currently hosting an exhibition of Claude Monet’s art from September 22nd to January 24th 2011.
It is the first major exhibition in France of Claude Monet’s work in over 30 years, with over 200 paintings from French and foreign museums.
It traces the 19th century painter’s long career, starting with his early landscapes in Normandy and the Paris region from the 1870s through to the iconic and well known depictions of his garden and ponds in Giverny.
