Halloween is full of mystery and enchantment.
The Meninas Hotel in Madrid will be one of the few in the world and the only one in Madrid to dress up its façade in a fanciful Halloween theme. The magnificent front of the Meninas Hotel, housed in an aristocratic 19th Century building, is one of its most remarkable features and can be seen at 7 Campomares Street, close to the Royal Palace.
The Meninas Hotel is located in a protected building from 1860. It features six stories with typical Madrid-style wrought iron balconies, which have been decorated with the classic Halloween pumpkins. The hotel’s regular lighting has been turned off to be replaced by the soft light that emanates from inside the carved pumpkins. The result is a colorful and exciting architectural surprise to all visitors, an original and unique idea in the Spanish capital.
The theme continues inside the building, to amuse and surprise all its visitors and guests: the staff at the Meninas will portray classic horror characters such as demons, emperors of darkness, vampires… even the Hotel Director, Pedro Alonso, will surprise visitors in his costume. The interior will also be decorated with the recreation of a stunning cave of deadly spiders, suspenseful music and projections from the netherworld, to make the most mystery-filled night of the year even more fun.
“It is a fun idea that will motivate our clients, passersby and the entire staff at the Meninas. After the 2011 success we want to be known as the Halloween Hotel in the heart of Madrid. We will dress up in masks and costumes to personify wicked characters that ward off witches and evil spirits, and to quench the thirst of our vampires we will tempt you, both at the bar and reception, with pitchers of delicious fresh blood. I think we will have a great time. Besides, the exterior looks gorgeous and it gives the whole street a very unique look, creating great excitement among all the neighbors in the Palace district”, explains the hotel’s Director, Pedro Alonso. Undoubtedly an original initiative by one of Madrid’s most singular hotels.
On the Eve of October 31st all creatures from beyond will be called to gather from 7 pm at the door of the Meninas Boutique Hotel, and the most frightful costumes shall receive prizes.
In the five years since its opening, the Meninas Boutique Hotel has become one of the most singular and charismatic establishments in the Spanish capital, favored by both domestic and international clients. The main reason for its success has been its approachable concept, with a very human touch in its service, which makes clients feel as in “their own home”.
The Meninas has been chosen as the best recommended hotel in Madrid by TripAdvisor, the largest and most influential virtual community of world travelers, with over 25 million visitors per month.
