The Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris is currently hosting an exhibition of Jean Michel Basquiat’s art from 15 October 2010 to 30 January 2011.

The Modern Art Museum looks back over the work of this exceptional artist. This exceptional exhibition reconstructs a chronological vision of his evolution with around a hundred major pieces of work from American museums and private collections. This is the first Basquiat exhibition on such a scale in France and it marks the fiftieth anniversary of his birth as he was born in 1960, in Brooklyn. He died, at the age of twenty-seven because of a drug overdose.
